Savanna Institute
agroforestry at its finest
The Savanna Institute works with farmers and scientists to lay the groundwork for widespread agroforestry adoption in the Midwest US. Inspired by the native savanna ecosystems that once covered much of this region, the Savanna Institute conducts research, education, and outreach to support the growth of diverse, perennial agroecosystems. The new Spring Green campus will welcome visitors to a state of the art education facility at the center of their work. The site will have interactive classrooms for visitors and farmers to learn more about agroforestry up close, a new tasting room, an ampitheatre for presentations and lessons, along with spaces to relax and take in the gorgeous driftless region.
